Ben's Stock Photography Shoot

In early March, my sister, Lauren, the kids and I took a trip to Jamie Grill Photography to do a stock photography shoot, just like we did with Katie when she was 6 months old.  It was so fun!  They had us do all sorts of shots; I'll post some of my favorites here.  Andrew was in New Orleans on an Alternative Spring Break trip with JMU students.  Maybe he can come along if we have a 3rd and do this again :)  We treasure these precious photos.  Please let me know if you see any in print!

Lavender Farm

How about this weather?! We have been spending a lot of time outside over the last few weeks and enjoying every minute of it. Today we went to White Oak Lavender Farm, a farm about 5 miles from our house. It's amazing how close we are to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley countryside! We went with our friends Tiffanie, Abby (4) and Clara (6 months) and had a lovely time. Unfortunately, the lavender wasn't ready to be picked yet but they had a lot of animals for us to see and we had a nice picnic lunch. I'll also include some recent pics of the kids. Enjoy!

Swim Lessons

For the past 5 weeks Katie has been taking swim lessons at JMU's gym. It was an introductory class for 6-month to 3-year-old children to get familiar with the water. She wasn't too sure at first but eventually really enjoyed it. She loved learning to kick, blow bubbles and even jump! Her teacher's name was Erin and Katie talked about her all throughout the week. We took turns taking her and had fun watching her learn and grow more comfortable with each passing week. We hope this is the first of many fun classes she'll be able to take!
