Goodbye, PA

When Andrew accepted his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania we knew we would likely only be in PA for one year. But, my, what a year it's been! We lived in an amazing house, in an amazing town, attended an amazing church and had one AMAZING baby! We have really treasured our time here, especially being so close to my family and Andrew's extended family and seeing great friends, both new and old. THANK YOU EVERYONE who made our year here so special!

We are moving to Harrisonburg, Virginia on July 24 and probably won't have Internet access right away so our blog entries will likely be a little slow. We are excited about this new journey, and are deeply grateful to the Lord for providing a great job for Andrew, but we will definitely miss PA!

Snuggles

Last Sunday after church we came home and had some family play time. As you probably gathered from our last post, Katie is very active now and is constantly on the move. For about a half hour she was rolling all over the bed, laughing, lifting herself up like she was about to crawl and then she suddenly got worn out. She put her right arm behind my head, her left thumb in her mouth and fell asleep! It just warmed my heart! She will often nuzzle up against my face when she gets sleepy but she never fell asleep doing it. I loved it so much and would have let her have her whole nap snuggled up beside me but I know she sleeps better in her crib so I reluctantly put her there to finish her nap. We are looking forward to Katie growing up and crawling, walking, and talking but I sure do love these sweet, snugly 8-month old moments!

Grandpa's Blocks

Here's Katie on the floor of her great-grandparents' office in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We thought she might crawl over and knock down a tower of blocks that her Grandpa Witmer used to play with, but she surprised us and sat up!
