We've been sick with colds all weekend, so instead of playing outside yesterday we got creative inside!

My parents came for a visit this week for my birthday and we had a wonderful time!  While they were here, we went to a JMU game so, of course, they bought the kids some cute JMU gear :)  Thanks Pop Pop and Grammy! 

Pumpkin Patch 2013

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday.  It was hard to believe that it was time to pick pumpkins because it was over 80 degrees!  It was hot but we still had fun.  Here are a few pictures from our time!

 

Our Preschooler!

We have been talking about this day for months.  Today is Katie's first day of preschool!  We weren't sure how she was going to do when we dropped her off but she gave us a big hug and a big smile and said "Bye!"  She was so proud to be at her new school and we are so proud of her.  Ben and I are missing her already but we know she's going be great.  Here are a few pictures I snapped this morning of our big girl!

I'm going to upload some recent videos.  Here is one of Ben we took last week rocking out on his guitar.  He thinks it's funny to call me "Morwenna"..  I wonder if all rock stars get so distracted when discovering crackers on their pants? :)

 

Easter

Better late than never, right?!  We had a wonderful Easter with friends.  Here are some pictures of the kids.  They are getting so big!

Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance

Tonight, Andrew took Katie to her first dance!  She has been so excited and looking forward to her special date with Daddy all week.  Katie looked beautiful and they had a fun time!

Lehman Gathering

We enjoyed a wonderful Lehman family gathering yesterday in Harrisonburg.  Katie and Benjamin loved playing with their second cousins.  Here are some photos of our kids taken by my talented cousin Ben Howard. 

Happy Birthday Katie!

Yesterday we celebrated Katie's third birthday with a purple party!  We had about 20 people in our house (10 kids) all dressed in purple to celebrate our sweet, purple-loving girl.  We played downstairs, Andrew read "Harold and the Purple Crayon" and then the kids decorated some cupcakes.  My family came from PA and my sister Lauren flew all the way from Portland, Oregon so we had lots of help with the decorating and food.  We loved having her here and especially appreciated her craftiness; she made all the little girls beautiful crowns!  It was a great time and, most importantly, Katie felt loved.  She received many fantastic gifts and has been enjoying them all!
